Post-grad research student in early church history. Dedicated to getting to the truth of things. (The top banner has been edited because so much misunderstanding!) Just a Christian, without pigeon-holing into a denomination.
I like people to feel free to ask questions about Christianity and the church and discuss difficult questions.

Feel free to suggest topics on early Christianity for future posts
If it's within my areas of study, I'll do my best to respond.
hi Daniel, maybe the one by Bauckham but it's very expensive. He's a leading expert on James. But you can read one of his articles about it free here: https://www.biblicalstudies.org.uk/article_relatives_bauckham.html
My question is too long for you but I have a few short questions we ever make a response to Ken Olson's or this guy who denies the authenticity of the book 18 reference Michael Hardwick, Josephus as an Historical Source in Patristic Literature Through Eusebius (Brown Judaic Studies, 1989)
hi I've written a bunch of articles about it - you can see the list here:https://gettingtothetruthofthings.blogspot.com/2020/05/index-to-my-posts-on-josephus-and.html
I would pick the top one from there as a scholar who gets it right, I think: https://gettingtothetruthofthings.blogspot.com/2019/11/josephus-on-jesus-review-was.html
There's a book about James written by the same guy who wrote the Jesus dynasty he claims that James was a very early follower of Jesus what's your opinion on that
I know you're respond to this is it's a bad argument carrier nd that Jesus was mistakenly identified as the unnamed Samaritan false prophet executed by Pilate of Josephus, getting the chronology wrong by mistake or ignorance. In more recent times, Theodore Wedeen, "Two Jesuses, Jesus of Jerusalem and Jesus of Nazareth: Provocative Parallels and Imaginative Imitation"
What is the best book on the early disciples and James
